About
I saw you, Walt Whitman, childless, lonely old grubber,
poking among the meats in the refrigerator and eyeing the grocery boys.
I heard you asking questions of each: Who killed the
pork chops? What price bananas? Are you my Angel?
(‘A supermarket in California,’ Allen Ginsberg)
Who killed the pork chops is a blog about books, about reading and writing, and the occasional baked treat, run by Fiona Wright. I am a Sydney poet and editor at HEAT and Giramondo Publishing, a part-time student of Australian Literature, and a freelance reviewer and writer.
